About Me:
Hello! My name is Magan Lovett. I became an LMT in 2019 after graduating from Cortiva in Seattle, WA. Massage school was such a fun and wonderful experience that I couldn’t wait to get my first job in the field. I landed in a lovely chiropractic office in downtown Seattle. After the pandemic, I decided to move back home to MS to be with family, where I began dreaming of starting my own business, and the planning began. After almost a year, I moved back to WA to rebuild life for myself. It took a little while to prepare for, with the help of my two current jobs, but I finally stepped onto the path of starting my own business. And thus, The Snoozing Moth was born!
What the name “The Snoozing Moth” means to me. When I first set out on my business journey, naming my business was probably the hardest part. I wanted something that I’d absolutely love and have confidence in. That’s when my clever sister suggested Massage Moth. I love moths, the name has the alliteration that I love, and, most importantly; it sounds like an identity. I’ve since changed the name to The Snoozing Moth, because I was going to go with a fantasy tavern theme for a tent at the Renaissance Faire in 2024 (though I ended up not doing that). I loved the name so much that I decided to keep it. It’s an identity, it’s fantasy tavern like, and it’s just more me. Aside from being a nap enthusiast, I’m a very multifaceted person who loves to explore multiple hobbies and interests, and there’s just more to me than “massage therapist”. And I want to catalog my pursuits and share my journey as I learn new things in these hobbies and achieve my goals, as well as grow my business and learn new massage techniques and modalities (Animal Massage, I’ll get to you yet!). I’m The Snoozing Moth, and I look forward to meeting all of you.
